The Cochrane & District Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards 2026 - Nomination Form

NOMINATION ELIGIBILITY:

Award Eligibility Nominees must be active members of the Cochrane & District Chamber of Commerce. Active members include individuals who reside, operate a business, are employed, or represent a business located within Cochrane or the surrounding district. The Cochrane & District Chamber service area includes: The Town of Cochrane; and Township 24, Range 5, W5M; Townships 25–28, Ranges 3–5, W5M.

PLEASE NOTE: Only one submission per business or organization is required to be nominated. The CCIT selection committee reserves the right to reallocate nominees into the appropriate award category if they are determined to be ineligible in a different category.

BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD: Presented to a business that demonstrates exceptional achievement in customer service, business growth, and community involvement. TOURISM & COMMUNITY ATTRACTION AWARD: Presented to a business that significantly enhances Cochrane and area as a destination to live, work, and visit by attracting residents and visitors, fostering tourism, and supporting the local economy. COMMUNITY CHAMPION AWARD: Presented to a non-profit organization that makes a meaningful impact in Cochrane and area through its programs, services, resources, and community support. EMERGING BUSINESS AWARD: Presented to a growing business that demonstrates early success, strong potential, and a meaningful connection to the Cochrane community. EMPLOYER EXCELLENCE AWARD: Presented to a business that fosters an outstanding workplace culture through employee support, professional development, diversity, equity, inclusion, and teamwork. CUSTOMER SERVICE EXCELLENCE AWARD: Presented to a business that consistently delivers exceptional customer experiences and demonstrates a commitment to service excellence through innovative customer-focused initiatives. GREATEST IMPACT AWARD: Presented to a business that has made a significant positive impact on the community through philanthropy, volunteerism, environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and a commitment to making Cochrane a great place to live and do business. INNOVATION AWARD: Presented to a business that demonstrates outstanding leadership and transformative innovation in its products, services, operations, or business practices. NEWCOMER ENTREPRENEUR AWARD: Recognizing a newcomer entrepreneur who has overcome unique challenges to build a successful business or organization while making meaningful contributions to the Cochrane community. INDIGENOUS ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARD: Presented to an Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit) business that demonstrates excellence in entrepreneurship, business achievement, and community leadership. PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD: Presented to a business that has earned exceptional support and engagement from the local community, as determined through a public vote.
