NOMINATION FORM

Award Eligibility - The Nominee must be an Active Chamber Member. An Active Chamber Member means any person who is a resident of, conducts a business within, is employed with, or is designated as the representative of a business conducted in Cochrane and/or the surrounding District. The surrounding Cochrane District means any area within any of: • the municipal limits of the Town of Cochrane • Township 24 Range 5, West of the 5th Meridian; • Township 25 Range 3, 4, or 5, West of the 5th Meridian; • Township 26 Range 3, 4, or 5, West of the 5th Meridian; • Township 27 Range 3, 4, or 5, West of the 5th Meridian; or • Township 28 Range 3, 4, or 5, West of the 5th Meridian

NOTES: Only one submission per business or organization is required to be nominated. The CCIT selection committee reserves the right to reallocate nominees into the appropriate award category if they are determined to be ineligible in different category.

Business Excellence Awards

BUSINESS OF THE YEAR - Presented to a business in operation that best demonstrates outstanding achievement in customer service, growth, and community involvement. TOURISM AND COMMUNITY ATTRACTION AWARD - Presented to the business that has major influence on attracting visitors and residents to engage in the community, making Cochrane and area a more attractive place to work, live and play — fostering tourism and promoting the local economy. COMMUNITY CHAMPION AWARD - Presented to a non-profit that serves and promotes Cochrane and area, via specific programming, resources, assistance and/or services they offer. EMERGING BUSINESS AWARD - Presented to a business that shows success and demonstrates a connection to the Cochrane community. EMPLOYER EXCELLENCE AWARD - Presented to a business that goes above and beyond for their employees and provides the best overall place to work. Positive culture. Learning. Diversity. Inclusion. Equity. Team. CUSTOMER SERVICE EXCELLENCE AWARD - Presented to a business that provides an excellent customer service experience, the award will recognize a business that implements 1 or more customer service initiatives. GREATEST IMPACT AWARD - Presented to a business that has had the largest impact in the community through philanthropy, volunteerism, and overall commitment to making Cochrane an overall great place to live and do business. Community impact. Advocates for the environment. Social change. INNOVATION AWARD - Presented to a business that demonstrates transformative innovation and leadership in their processes, products or services. NEWCOMER ENTREPRENEUR AWARD - Recognizing a newcomer who has overcome unique challenges to build a successful business / organization and make meaningful contributions to the Cochrane community. INDIGENOUS ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARD - Presented to an Indigenous (First Nations, Métis or Inuit) small business that has demonstrated excellence in business achievement and a commitment to community. PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD - Presented to a business that can demonstrate they have engaged the local support of their community, as determined by a public vote.
